Undercell — Terms of Use
Last updated: October 21, 2026
These terms apply to Undercell, a pentomino logic puzzle for Android and web browsers published by UPSIDE Dariusz Majewski. They add to the general Terms of Use of the publisher, which cover the licence and liability. If the two differ on the same point, these terms apply to Undercell. Where the game is distributed through Google Play, Google's terms apply as well.
The game
Undercell is free. You can play all of it, offline, without an account. How we handle your data is described in the privacy policy.
The leaderboard
- The leaderboard is optional. Nothing is posted until you choose Post my time or switch on Post my times in Profile. After that, every board you solve is posted, including runs with hints, until you switch Post my times off. Runs solved while you are offline are posted when you are back online.
- Leaderboard entries are public. Your display name, and the times and replays of your ranked runs, are visible to anyone. A run you send as a challenge link is visible to anyone who has the link. What a replay contains is described in the privacy policy.
- On Android, your display name is your Google Play Games display name; if that profile has no name, our server generates one. In a browser, or on an Android device where Google Play Games is not available, you post as a guest under a name our server generates, such as "Amber Fox 12". We do not check a Play Games name in advance. Accounts on different devices and platforms are separate. A guest account exists only in the browser or the app that created it; if you clear the browser's site data or clear the app's data, you lose access to it. Android backup may restore the app's storage after a reinstall.
- Only a clean run gets a place: a board you had not played or watched before, played from the start, cleared on the first try (no miss and Try again) and without hints. Other runs are still posted, but get no place. Only your first ranked run on a board counts. A run that is faster than our plausibility check allows is kept without a place. It gets one only if our review of its replay accepts it and you have no other ranked run on that board.
Fair play
You agree to post only runs you played yourself, by hand, in the game as we publish it. You agree not to:
- use bots, scripts, or any other automation, or software that plays a board for you, to play or to post runs;
- use a modified, patched, or unofficial version of the game or its server requests;
- post a time or a replay that was edited, forged, or not produced by playing the board;
- interfere with the leaderboard service, or try to access data that is not yours;
- use a Play Games display name that is abusive or that impersonates someone else.
Removing runs and accounts
We may remove a run, or a leaderboard account, that breaks these rules. We check posted replays, and we keep them for that purpose. If you think we removed something by mistake, write to support@upside.com.pl.
Deleting your account
You can delete your leaderboard account at any time, in the app or by email. See how to delete your account. Challenge links to your runs then stop working. The game keeps working, and your progress on your device stays.
No warranty
Undercell is provided as available, without any promise that it is free of errors or that the leaderboard is always online. We may change or end the leaderboard, for example to protect it against cheating. To the extent permitted by law, UPSIDE Dariusz Majewski is not liable for indirect or consequential damage arising from the use of the game. Statutory consumer rights are not affected.
Changes to these terms
Any change is published on this page with a new date above.
